We started with a goal: to promote an inclusive and exceptional salon environment with a team of supportive stylists.

We wanted a community that bridged the gender and racial divide we saw in the hair industry.

In 2015, we opened Polished Salon & Spa. We grew our team. We strived to promote equity in our community. The core of our goal remained strong but as our community continued to grow, and so did our dreams, we felt that our name didn't encompass who we are anymore.

In 2022, we changed our name to Stella James Salon, the combination of two names that are important to our founder, Beverly.

Stella James Salon is more than a place to get your hair done. We're a team of well rounded stylists, who are dedicated to continuing education. Our goal is to help you love your style and value an in depth consultation so that we can achieve that goal. We pride ourselves on offering you options and providing knowledge so that you can feel confident in styling your look between visits.
